Varde 68 is a contemporary Arctic lodge in Norway’s Lofoten Islands, created for dramatic weather, open sea, mountain horizons, northern light, and travellers who want to experience the far north without losing warmth or comfort.
Varde 68 takes inspiration from traditional rorbuer cabins, fishing stations, coastal boathouses, navigation markers, and the practical buildings found throughout northern Norway.
Dark timber, local stone, wool, brushed steel, oak, and broad glass walls create spaces that feel protected from the weather while remaining completely connected to the landscape.
